A fire destroyed the old manufacturing facility in Barsbüttel in 2001. In this situation the WFL came to the rescue. A suitable plot of land was found very quickly; the planning applications were worked up rapidly, and only three months after laying the foundation stone they were back in production in a new 3.600 sqm building. Following the relocation the turnover of the German market leader rose by 10 percent and the workforce from 50 up to 60. For A. W. Schultze the main market is Northern Germany. The advantages of the Duchy of Lauenburg County are obvious: proximity to Hamburg, where there are a lot of customers, good motorway connections and a professional WFL as an active advisor.
