Matthias Schernikau is always on the way up. The entrepreneur produces complete lift installations with "M. S. Aufzüge - the lift factory".

It was started in 1999 in the commercial area at Lanken which was developed by WFL together with the community of Elmenhorst, the town of Schwarzenbek and the Duchy of Lauenburg County.

Four years later Schernikau bought a hall complex and in the autumn of 2004 a new production hall was built. In that year the lift experts celebrated an important jubilee: the 100th lift facility was delivered.

With the planning, construction, fitting-out and installation, the lift factory does it all. Add to that maintenance work and their own emergency call centre.

The building of lifts is precision work by Matthias Schernikau and his 32 employees:

whether they are glass lifts or heavy-duty lifts, bed lifts or mini-passenger lifts. For example the lift factory modernised 14 industry lifts at Lufthansa Technik AG in Hamburg, delivered special ones for container bridges at Hamburg docks and produced numerous high class passenger lifts for different construction co-operatives.
